The North Korea Human Rights Reauthorization Act has passed the US Congress.  Please see the press release below and break open a bottle of Florida orange juice (or something stronger if you wish) to celebrate and give tribute to the Florida lawmakers Senator Marco Rubio and Congresswoman Ileana Ros Lehtinen for working so hard to ensure the Bill's passage.  What they both have in common -- in addition to being Floridians -- is knowing as Cuban Americans what life is like under totalitarian dictatorships.

RUBIO, ROS-LEHTINEN BILL PROMOTING HUMAN RIGHTS IN NORTH KOREA HEADS TO PRESIDENT’S DESK

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today applauded House passage of the North Korean Human Rights Reauthorization Act, legislation authored by U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) and Rubio to update and reauthorize the 2004 law promoting human rights and freedom in North Korea. The bill now heads to the president’s desk to be signed into law.
